Dentist Promotional Video

I had my first opportunity to film with the a7s for a dentist in Lake Jackson. It was a fantastic camera to work with. I chose to shoot in the Cine gama 4 mode. I had not planned on shooting the broll in slow motion and captured everything at 24p. I used twixtor to slow the footage down, which I think turned out nice. There were a lot of set-up and directing scenes in this piece. We used family friends and co-workers to pull it off.

Shot on Sony a7s. Canon 24-70, Canon 16-35, Metabones adaptor. Color and Grade with Colorista III and Film Convert.

SCORE Project: Fast Turn-around for live event

I was commisioned in April to produce eight company profile videos within 3 weeks to be shown at a celebration dinner. The purpose of the videos were to introduce the company and what they did, hear their advice for small business owners and give an acceptance “thank you” at the end of the video.

Time was critical with these and I knew I needed to turn these around very quickly. I spend ~ 2.5 hours on location filming the interview and staging broll sequences. The edit was completed in ~ 3 hours. I was able to complete each video the next day for the client after it was shot. Client liked to have movement in the broll, so a slider and/or stedicam was used for most broll shots. View the other videos of this series below.
